Hi all,My GVim (installed from the Arch repos) has recently become very unstable, easily segfaulting every couple of do use a fairly large number of plugins (see below) and I could try disactivating them one at a time to see if one of them is the culprit but Id rather not go though that route, so has anyone had this kind of problem before? Thanks in advance.

Most of the AV software that is out there by default does not check compressed files. Avast is one of the few that lets you see a list of files that it is unable to read. This does not mean that the software is fact that it will willingly allow users to delete a system file, and has done so with exactly the same file since 2009, is a serious issue. Frankly, it does mean the software is bad. Excuses for that behavior are just that... will stand by my recommendation of using Avast for on access 's your right. It's also my right to keep expressing my own opinion on the matter.
